Call for abstracts

The CSBC 2024 opens the call for abstracts. Themes of the conference include, but are not limited to below mentioned, and we warmly welcome both oral and poster presentations. Especially, PhD students are encouraged to submit abstracts for oral presentations.

Guidelines for Oral Presentations

Each presentation has a reserved 15-minute timeslot, which includes time for questions and discussion. We kindly ask you to plan for at least 3 minutes at the end of your presentation for audience questions. A chairperson will monitor the time during presentations to help everyone stay within their allotted timeframe. Please check the time of your presentation in the programme on our conference website.

 

File Requirements:

  • File type: PowerPoint (PPT/PPTX) or PDF
  • Aspect ratio: 16:9
  • Fonts: Please use standard fonts
  • Videos: Embedded

Please bring your presentation on a USB stick to the auditorium well in advance – preferably at the beginning of the conference day or during coffee breaks. Conference assistants will be available to help you upload your presentation. The presentation computers are portable PCs. If preferred, you may use your own laptop for the presentation as long as it has an HDMI port.

Guidelines for Poster Presentations

The maximum size for posters is 81.5 cm (width) and 130.5 cm (height). Poster boards will be numbered, and a list of posters will be available in the poster area. Pins will be provided.

The poster session takes place on Monday, 10 June, from 4:20 pm to 5:00 pm. Poster presenters are required to be by their posters during this time. Posters can remain on display throughout the conference until Wednesday afternoon.

Posters can be mounted from 10:30 am on Monday, 10 June. Presenters are responsible for dismounting their posters. All posters must be dismounted by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, 12 June. Please note that no posters will be retained or sent to their owners after the conference.

Our conference assistants are on call throughout the conference in case you need help. Assistants can be found at the info desk during conference hours.

Submission guidelines

  • Abstracts are submitted via the Oxford Abstracts online submission system. Register to Oxford Abstracts to submit (submission button below).
  • You may amend your submission until the final submission deadline.  
  • Remember to complete the abstract and answer all the required questions before the deadline, uncompleted abstracts will not be reviewed.  
  • The abstract should be written in English, body text limited to 350 words.  
  • Title should not contain more than 150 characters.
  • List all authors names, note that affiliations should contain institution, city, and country.  
  • Sub-headings should be included: aims, methods, results, conclusion.
  • The abstract text may include max. 4 pictures, tables, or figures.
  • Please proofread your text, abstracts will not be edited by the scientific committee. 
  • Acceptance information will be sent via email to the submitter only.
  • If the abstract is accepted, the presenting author must register as conference participant and pay the registration fee by 13 May.
  • Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference abstract book (PDF), available for conference participants only.
